Greetings families!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful break! Today was a very exciting day, we got to launch our Starbase rockets! I think everyone had a blast (pun intended) and I will be sending photos along soon! I wanted to mention that we potentially will be going back to 5 days a week instruction starting the week of May 10th, but it has not been finalized yet. I will send out an email as soon as I hear, but you will also hear from the superintendent if that does end up happening. We also have a tentative SBAC calendar: we plan to test the last 2 weeks in May, with testing Monday-Thursday (if we are in school 5 days a week) and a break on Fridays. This is subject to change, but that is what is most likely as we move forward. Their will be make-up days available if students miss a day. That is all I have for our class announcements, but I do have a personal announcement that I would like to share: over spring break, my partner and I got engaged! We are very excited for this next chapter in our lives. I hope that you all have a great evening! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold

Greetings families!
Today we had a visit from the Middle School Guidance counselors to answer some questions about the transition to Middle School. I have posted the slideshow on Google Classroom, but if you click the link below, you can access it as well. We had our last health class yesterday where students were able to ask questions in small groups about the changes that happen during puberty. If students have any more questions that you want help in answering, you can email Nurse Cassani at [email protected] Students are continuing to work on their Civil War Projects. We are currently in the research stage. Students need to have all of their research done by Friday, with their sources listed. I will allow students to bring their Chromebook home over break if they want to continue doing more research. Our next chunk of parent-teacher conferences are tomorrow, April 14th. I did send out confirmation emails with times last week, but if you can't find it and are unsure of the time, send me an email and I can let you know! Here is the Zoom invitation: Monica Petzold is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
