Greetings families!
I hope that you had a good weekend despite the rain! This is a reminder that Parent-teacher conferences will take place on Monday, November 23rd and Tuesday, November 24th. If you haven't already, please fill out the survey below to schedule a time (deadline to schedule is today please!) so that I can finalize a schedule and sent out your conference times this week. I have put links to the conferences down below. The link is the same for all conferences on Monday and then all conferences on Tuesday, so please don't join before your designated time! If you need it the passcode is: orchard Thank you to those who have filled out the survey already or reached out to schedule! As a class, we are about to finish our second read aloud book, called: I Can Make This Promise by Christine Day. This book tells the story of a young Native Nations girl named Edie, finding out where her family and her name comes from. We read this book to celebrate Native American Heritage Month for the month of November and will continue discussing similar topics with our school-wide read aloud: We Are Still Here! As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!!! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold

Greetings families!
I hope everyone is enjoying these warmer temperatures! The biggest piece of news is that it is already time to start scheduling parent-teacher conferences! I have included a link below to fill out a Google form of possible times you are available on Monday, November 22nd and Tuesday, November 23rd for conferences. If those days don't work for you, there is an option for setting up another date on there as well. Conferences will be 20 minutes long, but I asked for your availability within an hour block of time for ease of scheduling. Please fill these out no later than Monday, November 15th so that I can schedule the conferences and send out confirmations prior to the date. All conferences will be remote and held over zoom or over phone, since we cannot have adults in the building at this time. Please let me know if you have any problems accessing the link! Tomorrow, students will have their November Farm-to-School Lesson. Please make sure your student is dressed for the weather! Have a terrific Tuesday! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold Hi all!
I hope your students are enjoying their day at home! Tomorrow, Wednesday Nov. 3rd is our field trip to the Audubon center! It will be cold and potentially rainy tomorrow, so students MUST be prepared for the weather. We will be outside rain or shine! When it is 45 degrees or below, students must wear long sleeves and long pants, so all students must have those tomorrow. Students should also have waterproof/water resistant footwear as it is supposed to be rainy! Please make sure that students have packed lunches if they did not order one from school and that students are on time in the morning, as we will be leaving between 8:30-9:00am. Another important date is Monday, November 8th which is our picture retake day! That is all I have to share for today, I hope you have a wonderful day! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold |
