Greetings families!
It was so nice to be able to see your students today! I hope that you all had a wonderful April break! Tomorrow, the middle school guidance counselors, Matt Guyette and Yvette Amblo will be coming into our classroom to share some information with students and answer questions. I have attached the slideshow below so that you can also take a look! This Friday, April 29th is an early release day, so dismissal will start at 12:30. Students will have lunch at school. Next week we start our yearly SBAC testing, so we will be doing some practice with SBAC questions this week. Also, on Friday, I will be sending home some information about the upcoming Civil War project that we will be starting soon! As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great afternoon! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold

Hi all,
I unfortunately did test positive for COVID-19, so I will be out until Friday. I have no symptoms right now (I only tested because I was a close contact) so I will be checking my email periodically while at home as long as I don't start to feel worse. If there is to be a change about dismissal for your student, please let the front office know as I may not see those emails before the end of the day. Next week is April break, so there will be no school Monday-Friday of next week. After April break, the upcoming Health class unit will be about adolescent development. I have attached a letter from our health teacher, Ms. Smith below as well as a list of books that may be helpful for you and your student. There will also be a physical copy of the letter coming home this week. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Ms. Smith [email protected] or Mrs. Billings (our guidance counselor) [email protected] Students finished their Westward Expansion simulation last week. Only 1 out of 4 wagon trains survived, but I think that everyone had a fun time with the project. We will be moving into a science unit about measurement and chemical magic next! Have a magnificent Monday! Sincerely, Ms. Petzold |
